The c.1805 Ebeneezer Hills, Jr. farmhouse
at the Albany International Airport Relocation
& restoration received a 2009 Historic
Project of the Year Award for New York State
and the Capital Branch of the American Public
Works Association. The house is undergoing
restoration for use as a leased office premises.
The 1790s barn on the site has been dismantled
for future reconstruction.
The new slate roof and associated structural
repairs, has been completed on the former
D & H train station being converted as the
new home of the Altamont Free Library.
The Preservation League of New York State
has awarded the stabilization of the MacNaughton
House at the historic Adirondack Iron Works
in Newcomb, NY, its prestigious Excellence
in Historic Preservation Award. "We are delighted
to give the MacNaughton House stabilization
the statewide recognition it deserves," said
Jay DiLorenzo, President of the Preservation
League. Complete restoration of the MacNaughton
House is planned in the future.
Effective in 2007, income-producing historic buildings
that are rehabilitated with the Federal rehabilitation
tax credit are also eligible for an additional
NYS tax equal to 30% of the federal credit, up to
